Warmer Temps, Less Rainfall in Climate Outlook

by | Apr 30, 2026 | Australia, Weather

In its latest climate outlook for the three months to July, the Australian Bureau of Meteorology predicts below average rainfall across the country’s dairy producing regions and above average temperatures for most of Australia.

Oceans around Australia are warmer than average, however, the El Nino Southern Oscillation remains neutral, while models for the tropical Pacific suggest a possible shift to El Nino by late winter. Exactly where and when the weather phenomenon will unfold will be clearer as Autumn progresses.
