Weekly Euro Milk Output Continues Rise

Combined weekly German and French milk collections continued to push higher but couldn’t match the prior week’s YOY gain, + 3.6% YOY in week 38 (ending 20 September 2025). Rolling four-week milk production was up 3.7% relative YOY. German supplies rose 4.4% YOY in week 38, the 10th consecutive increase. In the same week, French supplies increased 2.6% YOY.

Meanwhile, spot milk prices remain under pressure. In southern Germany spot milk prices was steady at 35.5c/kg at the end of week 40 (ending 3 October), while in the north the spot price fell 1c/kg to 34.5c/kg. In the Netherlands the milk spot price was down 1.5c/kg to end the week at 28/kg. Dairy commodity prices have stabilised in the past two weeks, while cream prices have steadied, ending week 40 at €6,155/t, up €90/t on the week prior.
