Woolworths is phasing out its Farmers’ Own milk brand, with the product already withdrawn from South Australian stores and set to disappear from stores in NSW, Queensland, Victoria and WA by mid-2027 as supplier contracts expire. Farmers supplying the brand are being assisted by Woolworths to find alternative processors, with some SA farmers already moving into cheese supply. 

The move leaves affected farmers facing uncertainty over future milk contracts and pricing, with concerns that shifting to other processors could result in lower farmgate prices. NSW suppliers are seeking a 12-month contract extension to provide more time to secure alternative arrangements.
