Coles has lifted its own-brand milk prices by 10c to $1.70 for one litre of milk and $3.30 for two litres due to “ongoing cost increases in the supply chain.” A spokesperson said the supermarket was aware of the increased cost-of-living pressures faced by its customers and the company had not made the decision lightly.

With the price hike, Coles has increased its own-brand retail price 21% in a year after the supermarket lifted prices for its Coles branded one litre milk to $1.60/l, up from $1.35/l.
