The second review of the Australian Dairy Code of Conduct has opened with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) seeking feedback on the topics raised in the first review report.

DAFF is seeking feedback on recommendations for improvement of the Dairy Code, including extensions of 3-year contracts, small business definitions and exemptions, non-exclusive contract arrangements as well as multi-party dispute resolution and arbitration. The recommendations were a result of the first Dairy Code review in May 2021, which found the code is working as intended. Submissions for this review close on 15 March 2024.
