Stockbrokers UBS released details from its price-tracker Evidence Lab, which showed dairy inflation remained near 17% in February, compared to overall food inflation of 8.8% YOY, down from the peak of 9.4% in December. Analysts said dairy prices were stabilising. In categories, Block Cheese was up 24%, (2) Butter +15%, White Milk +26%, Flavoured Milk +14% and Yoghurt was a mild 6% higher. UBS reads this as positive for listed stocks it follows, such as Bega, as higher milk costs are being passed onto consumers.
